06 Jul Myrtle Beach Activities Guide – Part 1 of 2
Wondering what to do in Myrtle Beach this summer? Words of wisdom from a trusted local!
With Myrtle Beach at it’s busiest time for the next two months, there are a few things that you should know before you go. From a 23 year local to you, here are some Myrtle Beach activities and some of my local favorites in things to do, places to eat, and places to go. Of course, we always recommend a surf lesson, paddleboard tour, sunset kayaking tour, or one of our various board rentals!
1. Broadway at the Beach
Broadway offer the full spectrum, they have everything from great restaurants, activities, entertainment, and the best nightlife at the beach.
2. The Boathouse
A well established bar and concert venue loved by locals and tourist alike, The Boathouse is located right on the intracoastal waterway. They have live music every week and a Sunday Night Concert Series with national touring bands. Check out their live summer music schedule here!
3. Prosser’s Barbecue
If you’re looking for traditional southern food so good that it will make you want to slap your momma Prosser’s is the place to be. The price is more than reasonable for their fresh homemade buffet.
4. The MarshWalk
The MarshWalk is located on the beautiful Murrell’s Inlet, which is also known as the “Seafood Capitol of the South.” There are many great restaurants and bars on the inlet as well as live music every night.
5. Myrtle Beach Pelicans
The Pelicans are a Class A-Advanced baseball team affiliated with the Chicago Cubs. Tickets are fairly priced and they offer some of the best firework shows in town. They also offer $1 beer every Thursday. Check out their schedule here!
6. Myrtle Beach Watersports
Located on the intercostal waterway they offer boat and jet ski rentals along with wakeboarding. The intercostal is a local favorite hang out spot to relax and get away from the tourism. See more information about them here!
